Jatropha malacophylla, also known as Sycamore-leafed Limberbush is native to Arizona and north western Mexico. This interesting shrub forms a small tree or large shrub, growing upto 17 feet high by about 12 feet wide at a moderate rate. It has a short trunk or no trunk at all. Large leaves are present in the summer and only with watering. When wet, leaves appear on the branch tips. They are winter deciduous. Leaves are lush and bright green, covering the plant all the way to the ground. flowers are inconspicuous. Pot in cactus mix or plant in well drained soil, in full or partial shade. Give it regular water in the summer and keep dry in the winter. Item will be shipped bare root. You are selecting the plant pictured.
